Testing is the soul of hydraulics

After the production of the cooler is completed, an air tightness test is required to check whether there is any leakage between the components. The coolers with high medium toxicity, hazards or small leakage are not allowed to be inspected, and only the equipment that passes the inspection can be sent to customers for use, so how to conduct the cooler airtightness test? Let's briefly introduce it below.

Air tightness test can be carried out simultaneously with air pressure test 

For coolers that require an air tightness test, the air tightness test can be carried out simultaneously with the air pressure test, and the test pressure should be the pressure of the air pressure test.

The airtightness test pressure shall not exceed the design pressure, and the airtightness inspection can be carried out during the process of boosting the pressure;

Prepare spare gaskets before pressure test;

The pressure test ring and other connecting pressure bolts must be fully filled, and installation at intervals is not allowed, and the bolts are at least equal to the nuts, and missing buckles are not allowed.

Air tightness test gas 

The gas used for the airtightness test of coolers shall be dry and clean air, nitrogen or other inert gases.

The test pressure should rise slowly, and keep the pressure for 10 minutes after reaching the specified test pressure;

Then slowly reduce the design pressure, and apply soapy water to all welds and joints and flange gaskets for inspection.

If leakage is found, it needs to be repaired and re-tested for hydraulic pressure and air tightness until it is qualified.
