When a certain amount of water is mixed into the oil, the hydraulic oil will be emulsified into a white turbid state. If the hydraulic oil itself has poor anti-emulsification ability, water cannot be separated from the oil after standing for a period of time, making the oil always in a white and turbid state. The white emulsified oil enters the hydraulic system, which not only rusts the parts of the hydraulic valve, but also reduces its lubricating performance, aggravates the wear of the parts, and reduces the efficiency of the system.

After the ferrous metal in the hydraulic system is rusted, the peeled rust will flow and spread in the hydraulic system pipes and hydraulic components, which will cause the entire system to rust and produce more peeled rust and oxides.

Water will react with some additives in the oil to produce pollutants such as precipitates and colloids, which will accelerate the deterioration of the oil.

The action of sulfur and chlorine in water and oil produces sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid, which aggravates the wear of components, accelerates the oxidation and deterioration of oil, and even produces a large amount of sludge.

These water pollutants and oxidation products immediately become catalysts for further oxidation, which eventually leads to clogging or clogging of hydraulic components, resulting in a series of failures such as hydraulic valve system failure, oil distribution pipe clogging, cooler efficiency reduction, and oil filter clogging.

 In addition, at low temperatures, water condenses into tiny ice particles, which can easily block the gaps and dead zones of the control components.

To understand the hazards of hydraulic oil mixed with water, we must take care of the reasons for hydraulic oil to enter water, and we must do a good job of protection.

1. The water in the air condenses into water droplets and falls into the oil due to the alternation of cold and heat.

2. The seal of the cooler or heat exchanger is damaged or the cooling pipe is broken, causing water to leak into the oil.

3. The humid air entering the system through the poor seal of the piston rod of the hydraulic cylinder condenses into water droplets.

4. When using oil, it should be in contact with human moisture and oil, and the humid environment is compatible with water and absorbs water.
