Principle of water cooler:
●Water cooler is a device that is placed in the cooling water circuit and uses the temperature of the cooling water to control the temperature of the lubricating oil.
●Its heat transfer tubes are made of copper tubes to roll out heat dissipation fins, which can realize heat exchange between two liquid media with a certain temperature difference, so as to reduce the oil temperature and ensure the normal operation of the equipment.
●After the cooler works for a long time, scale will accumulate on the surface of the cooler tubes, which will increase the thermal resistance and flow resistance, and gradually reduce the heat transfer performance, so that the requirements of the cooler cannot be guaranteed.
Obviously, the focus of maintenance should be on dirt cleaning. Here are several cleaning methods for reference:
Method 1: Use electric pigging tools.
That is, the motor drives a flexible shaft to rotate, and the end of the shaft is covered with a nylon brush or a wire brush for rotary washing, and water is injected around the shaft through a watertight cover to wash out loose dirt in time.
Method 2: Use a round pipe.
One end is welded with a wire brush with the same inner diameter as the pipe, and it is pushed while rotating. The dirt can accumulate in the inner cavity of the pipe, and it will not cause the dirt to accumulate and thicken to make the push more difficult. This method is more commonly used, but it is labor-intensive.
Method 3: Use a high-pressure pump.
(Pressure 10~20Mpa) Spray high-pressure water for flushing, the effect is better, and it is mainly used for cleaning between pipes.
Method 4: Use sponge balls to automatically clean the inside of the heat exchange tube.
Use sponge balls with different hardness according to different scale layers. For special hard scale, you can use a "belt" shaped emery sponge ball.
Its function is to use soft and elastic sponge balls to enter the heat exchange tubes. The sponge balls are compressed and in contact with the inner walls of the tubes. The balls and the tube walls move relative to each other and constantly rub against the tube walls to remove the deposits.
Method 5: Change the cooling water frequently. Blow the copper pipe with an air gun.
Scale, oil, and rust will be generated during the use of water, which is also a reason for the blockage of copper pipes. Disassemble the front and rear covers, blow every hole in the copper pipe with an air gun to blow out the dirt, and then install the front and rear covers. Replace the O-ring if damaged.

●The failure of the cooler is mostly caused by the cooler tube.
●Thinning and perforation of the pipe wall due to corrosion, cavitation and wear, as well as joints and other permanent damage caused by thermal expansion and contraction, vibration generated during fluid movement.
After the cooler tube is damaged, the two media will infiltrate each other and should be repaired in time. The following methods are for reference:
Method 1: Find out the broken cooler tube and block both ends with a tube plug.
The taper of the pipe plugging is between 3 and 5 degrees, the hardness of the pipe plugging material should be lower than or equal to the hardness of the pipe, and the total number of blocked pipes should not exceed 10% of the total.
Method 2: Take out the damaged tube, replace it with a new tube and expand again.
Method 3: There is leakage at the connection between the pipe end and the tube sheet, and expansion joints should be re-expanded.
If the corrosion is severe, the tube bundle should be replaced.
Method 4: The cooler that is not used in winter should be put into the cavity medium to prevent the cooler from freezing.
