After the equipment is shut down, there will be residual oil in the equipment pipeline and inside the cooler.

When the temperature drops, the viscosity of the oil will become very high. Due to the high viscosity and low fluidity of the oil left in the pipeline and inside the cooler, the pressure at the oil outlet of the oil pump, the oil inlet of the cooler and inside the cooler will gradually increase when the equipment is restarted. Ultimately, the cooler will be damaged.

Solutions

If there is a place on the reducer where a temperature probe can be installed to detect the oil temperature inside the reducer, then temperature control can be considered to start the fan and oil pump of the cooler. (This will avoid the problem that the circulating oil pump is still running. When the equipment starts to operate, the oil inside the reducer, the pipeline of the cooler system, and the oil inside the cooler is always at a low temperature).

The problems mentioned above due to the oil left in the pipeline and inside the cooler after shutdown:

It is recommended to replace the oil pump and use a special high-viscosity oil suction lubrication pump.(This pump is mainly used for oil pumping and lubrication, and the pressure is not high, only a few kilograms at most.

Because when the oil encounters low temperature, although the viscosity is very high and the fluidity is low, it does not mean that it cannot flow. The oil can flow without freezing or in the state of grease. When the oil pump makes the low-temperature oil in the pipeline and inside the cooler circulate for the first time, the problem of high viscosity of the oil will start to be changed)

How to Connect Cooler Oil Pipe

The oil inlet pipe of the oil pump is connected to the bottom of the reducer or near the bottom to directly pump oil (pump out the oil from the reducer) and enter the cooler for circulating cooling. The oil outlet oil pipe of the cooler is connected to the top of the reducer to allow the cooled oil to return to the inside of the reducer. (Since the cooler is a self-circulating device, it does not need to be connected to any oil pump or oil circuit, and the entire cooling system should be independent of its oil circuit system.)
